Joe Adinma & Co.
About the Firm

About Joe Adinma & Co., Chartered Accountants.

A professional practice built on independence, technical precision, and thirty years of experience in the Nigerian accounting profession.

The Firm

Founded in Port Harcourt. Built on Principle.

Joe Adinma & Co., Chartered Accountants was established in 2010 as an independent audit and accounting practice serving businesses in Port Harcourt and across the Niger Delta region. The firm was founded on a clear premise: that the Nigerian business community deserves access to professional accounting services of genuine quality — services conducted with the rigour, independence, and ethical standards that the profession demands.

Since inception, the firm has grown into a recognised practice across several sectors, with active engagements in oil and gas services, marine logistics, engineering, trading, and owner-managed businesses. We serve clients from our principal office at Plot 500 East West Road, Rumuodara, Port Harcourt, and conduct fieldwork and engagements across Rivers State and beyond.

The firm holds practice licences from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and conducts all audit engagements in accordance with International Standards on Auditing as adopted in Nigeria by the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria.

What Guides Us

The Principles That Govern Our Work.

We do not regard our ethical obligations as constraints on our practice. We regard them as the reason our work has value.

Independence of mind and appearance
We form opinions on the basis of evidence. We do not allow the preferences of clients, management, or any other party to influence our professional judgments. This is the condition that makes an audit opinion, a forensic report, or a tax position defensible.
Technical rigour
The standards we apply — ISA, IFRS, the Nigeria Tax Act 2025 — are demanding. We invest in keeping current with their requirements, their interpretations, and their application to the specific circumstances of Nigerian businesses.
Responsibility to the public interest
The audit function exists not merely to serve clients but to provide assurance to shareholders, creditors, regulators, and the broader public. We take that responsibility seriously. Our opinions are formed with that accountability in mind.
Confidentiality without exception
Client information does not leave the firm except in accordance with our professional obligations and the terms of our engagements. We comply with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 in the handling of personal data, and with ICAN's Rules of Professional Conduct in all matters of client confidentiality.
Clarity of communication
Professional reports are worth little if their recipients cannot understand them. We write clearly. We explain complex findings in plain language. We tell clients what they need to know — including when the news is unwelcome.
